The Rise of Delegated Design and What it Means to You

Raised between southern California and central Louisiana, Paula graduated in Architecture from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began her career in Los Angeles, and then began designing single-family and mixed-use developments in New Orleans and with RTKL in Dallas.

Since joining the firm in 2001 and becoming partner in 2009, Paula has led many of the firm’s sustainable, multi-family, hospitality, and educational projects. Her design and management experience with large-scaled projects has helped her develop the ability to coordinate complex building systems, allowing for unique and inventive design solutions. Her attention to detail results in projects that are built on time and within budget.

Paula has emerged as a leader among her peers in the architecture community, as well as a trusted advisor to city and business leaders. She is active in numerous committees and organizations with a focus on social equity, urban land use practices, and sustainable building.
