Stu Richeson practices in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction matters. Stu has more than twenty-five years of experience in litigation and has appeared before state and federal courts in Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas and New York. He has tried numerous bench and jury trials and teaches Trial Advocacy at Tulane Law School.
Stu’s construction practice includes representing owners, contractors and subcontractors in construction defect litigation, delay claims, wage-and-hour litigation and enforcement of liens and privileges, as well as contract drafting and review. He also frequently writes and presents on construction law topics.
His experience also includes representing insurers in residential and commercial property damage claims, as well as construction defect claims and personal injury cases. In his years of handling commercial litigation matters, Stu has represented clients in cases involving a wide array of legal issues including civil RICO suits, state sales and use tax litigation, as well as copyright, patent and trademark infringement cases.
